Mr. Hibbard has served in numerous leadership and land related roles for both public and private upstream E&P companies for more than 15 years. He began his career in the energy industry as an independent Landman working in Oklahoma and Kansas. He went on to work as a regional Landman at Continental Resources (NYSE: CLR) in both the Bakken in North Dakota and the Anadarko Basin in Oklahoma where he participated in the acquisitions of several hundred thousand acres and the drilling of several hundred horizontal wells. Following his time at CLR, Mr. Hibbard went on to serve as the Director of SCOOP Energy Company, a portfolio company of American Energy Partners, which sold in 2017. Following that sale, he went on to serve as the Vice President of Land and Regulatory at Permian Resources, a Permian Basin pure play operator. Mr. Hibbard additionally serves in a number of partnership, management and investment endeavors. Mr. Hibbard holds a B.A. from the University of Oklahoma and a M.S. in Energy Management from Oklahoma City University.
Mr. Hibbard is a Certified Professional Landman with over 11 years of Oil and Gas specific experience. He began his career at Noble Energy, where he led a 30-well development plan in the DJ Basin. Later, at Chesapeake Energy, he managed the development of multiple Federal Units in the Powder River Basin. He also played a key role in optimizing leasehold and operating positions in the Anadarko Basin while working in a business development capacity. As a Senior Landman at 89 Energy, he successfully managed the acquisition of over 10,000 net royalty acres in the Anadarko Basin and worked to identify leasehold entry points into new basins. Mr. Hibbard holds two bachelor degrees in both Energy Management and Finance from the University of Oklahoma.
